The origin didn't bother me at all. The spacing in the book is desperate to make something long enough to have a binding and the F. Scott Fitzgerald letter was clearly written by his wife to him rather than the other way around as it is attributed. You could probably find all of these online for free, but I quite liked having them all in a physical copy we could read together before bed, so it was still a very worthwhile gift. I love how vulnerable and genuine these men are to their lovers. It just show that no matter who you are and how powerful you are, you definitely have a soft side, a person you can pour your heart and soul into. I love how they write these letters like they didn't think much of it. They just let their emotions flow into words.
And I honestly want to go back to time to witness and experience this kind of passion it made me love history more. It made me rea I am utterly in love by these letters.
